Through the Editor’s Window
Hi regular readers, welcome new readers,
We’re having a lovely long weekend and I’m enjoying myself so much I’m not working as hard as I should be. The evening rains are keeping the nights very cool and just great for sleeping in.
I cooked a big feast of lamb chops and baked potato for dinner last night. So yeah, we’ve basically been eating and sleeping. I just got back from a long, laid-back breakfast with the kids and I’m now trying to get my lazy butt back to work LOL.

Humorous Banner Ads - Key to Terrific Marketing!

Banner advertisements have been a way of marketing over the Internet since the expansion of the Internet in the 1990s. Banners have became to be a common sight on websites all over the world wide web. Banners serve as a graphic hyper link to other websites.
They can also serve as an activation button for pop-up windows that are activated by clicking on the banner. Companies have been known to pay thousands of dollars for the placement of their banners on highly traveled websites like Yahoo and Google. Banners have become the primary tool for advertising across the web.

Memorable Banner Advertisements:
Banner advertisements have become so common that designers have had to come up with new ways to attract the attention of web surfers. Humor is normally a good method of attracting the attention of web surfers. During the Super Bowl, the most memorable commercials are usually the funniest commercials.
The same is said for banner advertisement. Banner ads really have no limits to what they can contain. Some advertisements present the image of a game. An example of a game advertisement would be click the screen to catch the ball or aim at the target so that some guy will fall in a dunking booth.
These advertisements have become fairly common also across the Internet. Therefore, it is necessary to present an image that is slightly outrageous but not offensive. This will attract the attention of a exploring web surfer.

Selecting a Good Campaign:
There are important things to remember not to do when selecting an advertisement for your company. First, do not overload your ad with too much information. This will discourage consumers to view your site out of confusion. You want to be concise and funny at first to attract customers.
You have to also make it to where your customers can read the ads. Ads don't do too good if the message is lost. Lastly, you do not want your ad to be too large. If it takes too long to load your banner, your customers may not see it because they will have gone on to another site.

Keep Things Funny!
Humor is, however, the essential key to advertisement. If you make people laugh, you have gotten their attention. Humor should be brief and concise so that customer does not have a hard time following the ad, but it should be quick and witty. It could include funny pictures or funny sayings.
You could provide a humorous view of your product or the alternative of your product. Randomized humor has been known to also work in some campaigns. The bottom line of a campaign is that humor attracts the customers' attention.
