Hi regular readers, welcome new readers,

It sure feels good to be getting my knees and wrist back, albeit slowly. I kicked back over the weekend and tried not to do too much.

But that doesn’t mean my brains weren’t working overtime. I realize, of course, that I haven’t been updating Money-Go-Round, the new money-making blog that I started a couple of months ago, as often as I should.

At the time, I thought I could keep up with it on top of everything else I’m doing. Turns out I may be spreading myself too thin and Money-Go-Round has suffered as a result.

Like I’ve often said myself, it’s pointless having a site up if you don’t update it, so it looks like I may just have to let it go for now. My apologies and a big thank you to all those who’ve visited Money-Go-Round.

My regular business blog at G3 News & Views is updated daily, well-liked and is pulling good traffic, and I’ll continue posting money-making tips and business opportunities there.

In the recent contest I held at Money-Go-Round, there were only two people who left their comments to enter the drawing. Since I’m planning to let Money-Go-Round go, I think it’s only fair that I award the prize of a Featured Business Ad to both Barbara and Ed who’ve been my loyal customers. These days you can spend a fortune with PPC advertising to get traffic to your home based internet business, but there are plenty of ideas and tips that you can do to improve your web site, that will not cost you a single cent, If you do these 6 tips, you will soon see an increase of traffic to your site.

1: Website Optimisation

SEO is not pseudo-science, First you need to see, how the search engines will see your site, a good idea is to put your home based Internet business web site page into a web site analyser.

Just enter this term into Google, there are loads of free services that will do this. Once you have done that, it is a good idea to print the report, make the changes to improve your site and then print the report again.

SEO is a very tangible and real way to increase website traffic. You need to take care of the basics-e.g. making sure your home based Internet business website has a relevant title, focuses on the right keywords, avoids practices that are frowned upon by the search engines.

2 : Start a linking campaign

Persuade visitors to link to your web site, give them a freebie in exchange for them linking to your web site. It could be content, software, etc. Link to sites that are relevant to your site, the more links that your site has the more popular your home based Internet business site will become. Think of it as having little sign posts all over the web pointing back to your site, when you improve your site remember to vary your anchor text when linking back to your site.

Also Link to web sites that can provide useful information or services for your visitors.

3: Add more products to your website.

Not only must you keep your site fresh with new content, but you can also add new products and services, you need to continually update and modify your home based Internet business webpage.

My experience has been that adding more products to the website helps us to come up in the search engines more often. Each product is like a fishing line cast in the sea. The more well-described bait you have out there-the more "fish" will bite.

Join affiliate programs that go with the theme of your web site. You'll just be wasting valuable space and time if your visitors aren't interested in them.

4 : Add Banner ads to your site.

Make sure that your banner ads are part of the page content, banner ads are also useful to break up, sections of writing, banner ads are a great way to improve your site, but keep in mind that they must enhance you home based Internet business site and not distract . Don't make your banner ads look like ads. Most people ignore banner ads. Design them to look like content and have them click to read the rest.

5 : Contact your customers

Interact with your home based Internet business customers on a regular basis. This will show them you care about them. You could use a chat room, forum or message system.
