Everyday people are turning to the internet searching for the best way to make money online. Some because they can't stand their current job and some because they just need a little extra help paying the bills.

There are so many ways to make money on the internet that many are finding it frustrating. In my opinion the best way to make money online is affiliate marketing.

The reason affiliate marketing is the best way to make money online is because it is the only method that you can earn money from with little to no start up cost. You do not need a website or extensive knowledge of the internet. You do not need to create a product. Best of all you don't have to interact with anyone other than your computer screen. So I'm sure you're eager to know how it works.

As an affiliate marketer you will promote other peoples products on the internet. The objective is to send them through a link provided by the vendor to the products' main sales page.

When a visitor whom you referred makes a purchase the vendor will pay you a commission. So your mission is to send as many prospective buyers as you can to the products sales page and watch the commissions roll in.

Sound hard? well it isn't. Next I am going to tell you how to find profitable products and how to promote them.

Finding Profitable Products

There are several resources for finding profitable products to promote. Go to Clickbank.com and sign up for their affiliate program. Once you've created an account you now have access to 10,000 or more products that you can earn commissions from.

Clickbank has one of the best affiliate programs because they pay 50 to 75% commissions on all their products. This is why I love affiliate marketing. There are so many great paying products to choose from it's no wonder this is the best way to make money online.

Search Clickbank's marketplace for products that you are interested in. It will make promoting them a lot easier. If you want you can contact the seller directly and see if they will let you sample the product.

If not here's a little trick to get anything on Clickbank for half the cost. Buy the product using your own affiliate link and you will save big time. Now that you have a few products in mind let's discuss how your going to create traffic.

Promotional Tactics

Their are many ways to send traffic to your affiliate products. For the purpose of this discussion I am only going to talk about the three that will cost you nothing. That's right, I said free! Just one more reason why this is the best way to make money online.

Article Marketing- You can send traffic to your products sales page by writing articles on topics related to the product or actual reviews of the product itself. There are hundreds of article directories all over the internet that will let you submit your articles for free. So submit to as many as you can.

Write articles that address a common problem that a potential customer might have and then lead them to the solution and place your affiliate link to the product at the end. Try to keep your articles length between 500 and 700 words.

Too short and you haven't really grabbed their attention, too long and the reader is getting bored. If you can write between 1 and 3 articles a day you will start to see commissions regularly in about a months time.

Blogging- Blogging is similar to article marketing in that you will need to write about things you are interested in but it should me a little more personal. Write more from your own experience and develop a relationship with your reader.

THis will make them more inclined to visit your blog often and maybe even subscribe to it. There are hundreds of free blog's you can sign up for. Blogger.com is a good place to start. Just like article marketing you should create as many blogs as you can and post them all over the internet. the more affiliate links you have the greater chances of earning commissions.

Forum Marketing- Join forums that are related to the products that you are promoting. Read through the threads and look for people who are having trouble with something. Ask your self if your product would benefit their situation.

If so reply with some advice and always add your signature with a link to the product. If you post just a few comments a day before you know it you will have hundreds of links pointing to your affiliate products.

Affiliate marketing is definitely the best way to make money online if you are a beginner with little to no money. All of the ideas I have given you here will cost you nothing to apply. So what are you waiting for? See for your self why this really is the best way to make money online.

As it was mentioned above, for a pay per click advertising program to work to your advantage, you need to use it the proper way. Pay per click advertising may seem tricky and a little bit overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be.

In fact, depending on the pay per click advertising program that you choose to join, you should be given a detailed, step-by-step guide. Speaking of choosing a pay per click advertising program, the program you choose may have a huge impact on your success.

Two programs that you may want to examine include Goggle Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing; both come highly rated and recommended. In fact, they are both known to produce results; positive results.

In addition to choosing a pay per click advertising program, you also need to examine your keywords. If this is your first time using a pay per click advertising program, you may be unfamiliar with keywords and their purpose.

As you likely already knew or assumed, you will want to select keywords that are related, in one way or another, to your online business or the products that you will be selling.

For instance, if you run an online store that sells affiliate programs, you will want to use a few of these popular keywords "multiple stream," "home business," "affiliate marketing," and so forth. Your pay per click advertising company will use the keywords that you choose to determine where your ads should appear and on what websites.

As you can see, the keywords that you choose are extremely important, when it comes to successfully using a pay per click advertising program. Not only will the right keywords help to increase your sales, but they will also help to save you money.

While you are only charged when one of your advertisements are clicked, it can get quite costly when your ads are being clicked with no purchases made. Related keywords ensure that the right market is targeted; thus increasing your sale numbers.
